Farmstay Accommodation
Blacktree farmhouse was built over 200 years ago to house an extended family of pastoral origin and still stands in its original state with little restoration.
Built with local stone it has cedar beamed ceilings with much of it`s juniper woodwork still in place.
This two storied delightful stone building has a central living room whose comfortable cushioned seating area faces an open fireplace.
There are six bedrooms on two storeys sharing three communal bathrooms. The natural insulation makes the house really cool in summer months though sound insulation is somewhat lacking!
Since Blacktree lies 2 km off the Lycian Way it is ideal for small groups of walkers who have the opportunity to stay on a B/B basis at reasonable rates. All those who stay at the farmhouse have use of the pool, tennis court, library, pottery room and riding facilties at Black Tree.
The farmhouse is also ideal for retreats. There are panoramic views over the plateau. The peace of the surrounding countryside is only disturbed by the sound of goat bells by day and the hoot of an owl by night.
