Local Area of Black Tree

The whole region is a mecca for walkers, botanists and nature lovers of all kinds, with unspoilt forest and mountain trails and secret paths down to the breathtaking beaches below.

Steep gorges and canyons such as Saklikent, where ice cold torrents feed the trout streams, are there to be explored. Archaeological sites abound, including Xanthos, Tlos, Pinara and Letoon, all steeped in both history and myth.

Mountain slopes give way to plains where villagers have grown relatively rich cultivating the tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and aubergines which all feature strongly in the delicious local cuisine.

Old mule tracks goat paths marked trails, foresters routes and wider tracks…..if you wish to trip down to an isolated beach, aim for the peak of Babadag, or just take a leisurely stroll in pursuit of a good view this is an exciting area for you.

The slopes are well forested with pines and junipers reaching to Cedar forests over 1000 metres. Blacktree is three kilometres off the route from Fethiye to Antalya known as the LYCIAN WAY.
