Location of Black Tree
Turkey`s south west coastline, in ancient times Lycia, is of breathtaking beauty, with pine-covered slopes rising straight out of the Mediterranean. Beneath these lime stone heights hide deserted coves, once anchorage for pilgrims en route to the Holy Land.
Breathtaking natural beauty, timeless villages, one of the finest beaches in the world, picture-book harbours and an unrivalled archaeological heritage are all to be found along this stunning stretch of the Turquoise coast.
Just east of Oludeniz lies some of the most beautiful virgin coastline in all of Turkey backed by the towering slopes of Mount Babadag, where farmers in scattered villages still eke out a living tending their goats and bees and growing tobacco. One such village is Karaagac where houses cluster in twos and three around the all-important wells and villagers chat and water their animals in the shade of an old plane tree.
